2017 will definitely be classified as a « high » in the history of JMW Motorsport. Hugues Lardy with Samtech has been involved with the Team since 2013. In 2016 JMW dominated the ELMS season with 3 victories and a 2nd position, but eventually lost out on the title in an unlucky final race.
In 2017, the team won its last outing with the 458 Italia GTE in the 4hours of Monza and the 24 Hours of Le Mans are its first outing with the new 488 GTE.
After an amazing trouble-free race, and a perfect job by the team and the 3 Drivers including former F1 driver Will Stevens and the 2 rookies Rob Smith and Dries Vanthoor, the new car crossed the finish line as the Le Mans 24 Hours Winner in the LMGTE-Am class.

End of 2016 new team SF Racing contracted Samtech in order to support its entry in the International GT-Open. The aim of this first full season is to show the competitivity of the Team with Andrea Caldarelli clinching Pole Position in Le Castellet, as well as bringing to international racing level team co-owner and driver Fu Songyang from China.

Hugues will also take part in selected events with Kessel Racing in Blancpain GT Series as well as with TR3 in the Pirelli World Challenge.

Although racing activities are a major part of this year’s program, design work on special vehicles is still on the way, with the Venturi Antarctica Phase 2 which is due to be sent to research stations in Antarctica after successful tests with the initial prototype.
New projects are on the way in a completely different area,……..

Off-Road racing is this year on stand-by as following the design of the last SMG buggy completed in 2016, the target is to sell cars (up to 8 have already been delivered or are in the process of being delievered) and support customers during their races.
